Six Flags rocked!

Well, I got to go to Six Flags for the day with Brandon (Team Binky) and Linde (threels), a couple of my Xbox Live buddies, and had a blast! We made a SMART decision to get the Gold Flash Pass. It meant the difference between getting to ride 5 or 6 big rides versus riding everything we wanted, including Goliath, Batman, Superman, and the Mind Bender (oh, and Monster Plantation...LOL) twice each, in a fraction of the time! Definitely worth the money! I am too tired to type a lot right now, but my one thing I wanted to accomplish today was to get the newest rollercoaster, Goliath, on video. And it turned out great!

Here ya go!

Mitch, we missed ya buddy! Oh, and yeah, Batman rocked!

ALERT: New beer warning labels needed!

Okay everybody. I think something has come to my attention that leads me to believe that black box warning labels are needed on all beer bottles, cans, cases, and kegs! The results of a recent study are shocking and in my opinion represent a significant danger to our health, or relationships, and even our very culture! Please review the newspaper clipping below for shocking scientific data regarding beer (you may have to click on the image to see it bigger for reading purposes):

GOTCHA!
LOL...

Destin, Florida movies are now up....

Hey everybody. Everyone that wanted to has already seen the Flickr pics I put up from our trip to Florida, but I finally got the video encoded and onto the computer. George (booster_mps for all you XBL people) was gracious enough to give me a location to upload them. Now I have encoded these in two sizes. These links are to the small resolution versions. If you want the bigger versions, let me know and I will post them. So here's the links:

Enjoy!

The Fortress of Solitude....

...ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Kelly and the boys left for Oklahoma yesterday. She typically takes them out there for vacation during the summer to spend a few weeks with her parents and their aunts, uncles, and cousins, who they absolutely love to play with. Problem is, they are usually gone for about 3 weeks. Kel's mom broke her ankle earlier in the week and has surgery on Monday, so Kelly may be staying even longer in order to help out as much as she can there. So, end result is, I am doing the bachelor thing for the next several weeks. And it always follows the same pattern:

  • Stage 1
    • "Woah! Cool! I get a little quiet time to go see movies, sit and play video games until all hours of the night, maybe hit a Braves game... It's a whole lot quieter and less stressful around the house... I can do what I want when I want and nobody can get in the way of having a good time. This is like my vacation too!"
  • Stage 2
    • "Hey, this is nice. I can get stuff done around the house... need to do some painting, maybe clean up those weeds outside. Man, this house is a mess. Maybe I will clean it up a bit. Sure seems quiet..."
  • Stage 3
    • "Ok. I'm tired of painting. I want to play some more. Dang I am bored. Oh well, guess I'll watch some TV, maybe rent a movie or something. I need some sound... it's just a little too quiet around here."
  • Stage 4
    • "I CAN'T STAND THE SILENCE ANYMORE! Screw the painting and weeds. To heck with the house. I am sick of looking at the TV and Xbox 360. For the love of Pete will somebody do something? Maybe I will invite the neighbor kids over and let them play in the backyard... break something or mess something up. SOMETHING TO BREAK THE MONOTONY!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And just before I end up drooling in a corner wearing a straightjacket, Kelly and the boys come home to save the day. She removes the Kryptonite from around my neck, and I am alive again.

Always happens this way. Kelly, y'all have fun but I can't wait to see you walking back through the door babe...

Clustrmaps, part 2.... What the?!

OK.

I thought the Clustrmaps thing was fun. How cool is it to see where the hits to your website are coming from?! But then it gets you to start wondering.... why are people hitting MY website? Kind of bizarre...

I mean, I know there's gonna be a ones from the Southeast (family and all... plus the counter keeps counting MY hits to the website, which makes the dot in Georgia bigger and bigger...LOL). I also expect a good many across the US in places where all my Xbox Live buddies are. It's fun trying to figure out which of you nutty people represent each dot... It's kind of like the old Romper Room show looking through the magic mirror....

"I see Rammy, and Lulu, and Scary, and ..."

LOL

But then it starts getting a little creepy. I'm looking at the map one day, and all of a sudden I see this little dot way the heck over in JAPAN?! What the...? Who in...? Huh? Then my eyes move over and I see a dot in what looks like England... Sheesh... Do these people have no life? LOL... It makes you wonder though... what led them here? Was it an accident? Were they googling for something specific and my blog came up on their list? It's just kind of interesting to think about.

I will really start to get a little paranoid if I start seeing dots blip up on the map in the Middle East... Images of Saddam surfing the internet from his jail cell.... Osama hitting blog search from his laptop/satellite phone from a cave in Afghanistan....come to mind. LOL....

Clustrmaps are cool...

SO I was surfing around the other day and ran across something called Clustrmaps. It will not only log hits to your site but also where the hit came from in the world and place a dot on a map to see where hits have come from. The more hits from that area, the bigger the dot. I have seen something like this elsewhere, but never one that lets you put the actual map on your site. I have put up a Clustrmap in my sidebar. As you can see, not much action here (no surprise... my life ain't that riveting). But it has only been on the site for a day, so we'll see what happens. Anyway, I just thought it was a neat little thing.

So head over to Clustrmaps.com to get yours!

(No this ain't mine... wish it was... hit me more and give me some dots! LOL)
